Beauty Products I’ve Loved in 2 Months

Happy March everyone!

2017 has been off to a good start for me. New Year’s Resolutions not staying very strong but I’m constantly reminding myself that starting back up is considered progress! I’m learning a lot about myself, loving myself more, and working on me.

How are y’all’s New Year’s Resolutions going? Did you already forget about them? I’ve had to write my goals and reminders up on my wall in my room to look at every time I walk out of the room. That way I don’t forget: who I am, whose I am, and who I want to be. Maybe a Post-It could help you too?

Well considering that it is already March and we have already completed 1/6 of 2017, I have a few trusty products I’ve learned to love and wanted to share with y’all! Keep reading for more info:

1. Living Proof Perfect hair Day fresh cut split end mender – I have loved this with an everlasting love since this time last year. I have purchased it twice now. This stuff literally mends your split ends in seconds. Read up on it in that link. Living proof has been my hair’s best friend for a year now. I guess it’s our anniversary? Also, if you are wanting your hair to grow ASAP (like me), this stuff WILL DO IT. Guys, my hair has grown so many inches SO fast without me needing a hair cut. I don’t remember the last time I got a hair cut? Living proof says this is best used in-between cuts. So I’ll be getting a trim soon, don’t worry. You can use it on wet or dry hair but with my experience, it works best on wet hair, before primer!

  • Also, side note: just found out that Living Proof has automatic delivery :O

2. OUAI Haircare Wave Spray – I got this in my Ipsy bag and it works as a texture spray. It smells amazing and works great to give your hair volume and texture! I love using it after styling my hair. Loving this brand!

3. Tarteist PRO Amazonian Clay Palette – This is a matte (+ 4 shimmer) eye shadow palette by Tarte that smells like heaven. I love using this stuff. It is SO pigmented and I love mattes and it applies so well. Everyone loves it. I got it for Christmas and I am so thankful for it! These shades go for everyday and for dramatic looks. Get it if you’re looking for a matte eye shadow palette. You won’t regret it.

4. Colour Pop Ultra Matte (Beeper) and Ultra Satin (Magic Wand) Liquid Lipsticks – I first purchased Colour Pop’s Ultra Satin Lip when I wanted one of Kathleen Lights’s videos and loved her lip color. It’s so affordable and you get $5 off your first purchase. I’ve loved it and wanted to purchase another and my friends Jenna wore Beeper one day and I loved it so much I had to get it. Both of these lippes are so pigmented and stay on through THICK & THIN. They are not drying at all. They’re incredible. Please buy 10. The Ultra Satin is like a matte with a shine and the matte, of course, is all matte. Better than lipliner.

5. Clinique Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream – so lately my hands have been getting CRAZY dry and cracking and bleeding and I knew I needed someting concentrated and serious. Nothing with a fragrance and something special for my hands and cuticles. My cuticles were getting so bad too. I work at the Clinique on campus and decided to purchase this. It is a perfect size to carry around everywhere with me in my purse and this stuff feels SO great, better than any other cream I tried. It relieved and healed my hands and cuticles, seriously.

6. Real Techniques Brushes (Shade + Blend, Setting) – I hit these up at Ulta when they had the buy one get one FREE Real Techniques brushes and NYX face and eye makeup. The two purple ones (Shade + Blend) came in a pack then the Setting in a separate pack. I had wanted another eye shadow basic brush since I’ve had my e.l.f. one forever and I wanted a larger, more dense shader brush so this came in so clutch. I had to get another one for free so I chose the small setting brush which I’ve also wanted to try. Guys, please go buy these now because they are INCREDIBLE. These are some of the best brushes I’ve used in my life. I love the grip on them and the brushes are so soft and work so easily.

I hope y’all enjoyed these reviews and hope this helps any of you who were thinking about purchasing these items. As always, feel free to comment and ask any questions.

I hope you all have a fabulous rest of your week. Enjoy your second week in March, spring is almost here!

Fashion – Just Wing It

Today is a Monday and I am cozied up in my dad’s home with him and my sister. With our Christmas tree still up and our decorations still showing, a storm is blowing right through, postponing my trip back home to Fayetteville. I love rainy days. But I only love them when I can spend all day at home. I’m stuck now but that’s okay.

Flashing back to Wednesday…

I spent a bunch of days last week window shopping and Wednesday I bought one shirt at Forever 21 for only a dollar! How did I do that? The Forever 21 Credit Card. I had a $10 reward and used it on a shirt that was $10.90. I literally found this shirt in the dressing room while my friends were trying stuff on. It was soft, jersey type, see through, just my size, and long. SO RAD!! I tried it on over my crop shirt and thought, “What the heck, looks great with this outfit,” and I got it. It was a dollar.

JILL and me. Also like a sister. We shared Chick-fil-A fries

I fell in love with this jacket at Forever 21! I want it so badly but I am trying not to spend much money at all because I am saving up for a mission trip in the summer. So I took a picture for a later date if I still really want it.

So HERE is the shirt I bought at Forever 21 for only a dollar. Underneath the shirt is a blue crop from Forever 21 that says “wild & wonderful”

My jeans are from Old Navy, shoes are brand new Nikes I got for Christmas, the suede NY cap is from Boohoo, the sparkly choker is from Forever 21.

Jill and me had a photoshoot. SHE’S SO CUTE AND STYLISH. Her shirt is from Maddie’s closet (her sister), new bling from Claire’s (the store), and Converse from Santa.

And of course I took a picture with Maddie.

I had a fun day at the mall and have had a fun week of rest in Louisiana. I am ready to be home but I don’t ever want to rush anything! I truly try to enjoy every moment because I believe you can find purpose in everything. It is great seeing my forever friends and my family. I love them so much and wish I could be better at long distance relationships! I love being present where I am though.

Well I hope you all had a very happy New Year and wonderful holiday time! You made it to 2017! It’s a new year. I love new things. Really it’s just another day to me, though. I am still me and the best is still yet to come!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, y’all!

I truly hope your Christmases were joyful and your New Year’s celebrations are fun!

For Christmas, I went to 2 Candlelight services with my church, New Life Church. The first one I attended was at home in Fayetteville and my friends did such an amazing job putting on a fun service. It was a special time to remember!

The second Candlelight service I attended was at the Little Rock campus and I went with my sissy Madi and it was HUGE and very entertaining!! NLC has such talented people and really shows excellence with what they’ve got! I’m proud to be a part.

Half of Christmas Eve I spent in Hot Springs with my grandparents while my grandpa spent his last day in rehab (thank you God) and the other half of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was spent in Louisiana with my close family. I got amazing gifts and I love getting gifts. I think it’s so strange that on one day of the year, you are just flooded with new stuff. It’s really great. But I can’t help not to think of and pray for so many people who don’t have a good Christmas because of horrible past Christmas experiences or a bad family situation. I’m thankful for what I have and I’m thankful for what I don’t have because God is good.

Anyway, I TOTALLY LOVED MY OUTFIT. I went shopping with my roomie the day before and found gorgeous items. I was shocked with how easily and quickly I found items that looked to beautiful together. I already owned the heels and knew I would be wearing them (regardless of the weather). I first found the top and probably had the first moment ever like this: I knew when I saw it that it was the one. Even before I tried it on. It is a metallic light pink – rose gold. I knew it was perfect and trying it on made it even better. So I found a beautiful skirt to go with it, which happened to be in a random spot in Forever 21 and I glanced and said, “eh, I’ll try it on.” When I tried it on, I loved it. And knew I needed a choker to match. As I stood in the checkout line, a sweet lady in front of me held this sparkly choker and I asked where she found it and I grabbed it to add to my outfit. Perfect timing.

  • Top from Francesca’s
  • Skirt and choker from Forever 21
  • Clear heels from Boohoo

This is my beautiful friend Karli. I loved her outfit. She wore 2 chokers, green and red. How cool. Her top is from a local boutique called Trinkets. She sang at the Candlelight service in Fayetteville and KILLED it, like always.

This is my beautiful roomie and bestie (PTL), Kristen. How great does she look?! We got to shop together and pick out outfits, like I said. Her heels and skirt are from Francesca’s, top from Forever 21, and her necklace from her mom! Kristen also sang at the Fayetteville Candlelight service and crushed it.

Big sis and me for big kisses in front of the big Christmas tree at the NLC Greater Little Rock campus. Here I am wearing my coat from Boohoo, top from Forever 21, and choker from Forever 21. Mads is wearing my red choker from Bayou Gypsy, velvet dress from Forever 21, and leather jacket from Topshop. She’s so cool.

I hope you all have a very happy New Year’s celebration and rock whatever outfit you wear!! I love times for sparkles and metallics and fun colors. Don’t stress yourself out on your resolutions. Who says you need to wait for a new year to set a goal for yourself? Start now! Just start. Just do it. Yes, that is Nike’s motto but when you think about it, literally all you have to do is do it or you’ll never get it done.

Snowy Sunday

This past Sunday (two days ago) in Fayetteville, it snowed! Actually, it snowed Saturday night and I woke up to a Winter Wonderland. I actually had to drive it the ice skating road that night. Not fun – but SO beautiful! I felt, for the first time in my life, four degrees. And it was amazing.

Per the four degrees, I decided to wear something super warm! I wore my Steve Madden boot heels (the only boot heels I currently own), gray knit socks, black jeans from Old Navy (with no holes because it was THAT cold), a white sweater from Forever 21, my pink fuzzy coat from Forever 21, and this gray hat from I think Forever 21. Why I chose to wear red lipstick? I don’t know. It did NOT compliment the pink coat very well – only the outfit underneath and encouraged Christmas spirit.

This is the most hilarious thing I saw that day. This ball normally turns with water running out of it. CHECK IT OUT NOW. THIS IS WILD. Like seriously, dopest thing.

My friend Cassidy and I saw this sign on the way to her house (it has always been there) and I decided to stop and smell the flowers because I love doing that and we took pictures with it and of it.

So anyway, that is how Christmas has gone so far with me. So you can collect that it has been quite fun. I am enjoying spending Christmas time in Fayetteville. I love Fayetteville with my whole heart. I’m excited to see what kind of winter we get.

I truly hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and can enjoy some relaxing time with those you love. Make the best of it even if it doesn’t seem like it will be the best.

White for Winter

Hi everyone!

This weekend was one to remember for me. I hope it was for you too!

I wanted to give y’all the deets on my outfit from Saturday 🙂

Winter is on its way! Have you made your Winter playlist? Have you gotten your buy one get one free Starbucks beverage? Have you brought out your fur coats? Have you put back your whites?

Don’t put back your whites quite yet! Whites are a color of this Winter 2016. I think more and more people are forgetting the whole “no white after labor day” rule and doing what they want, what they feel! Which I am SO down for. I’ve been doing that way for some time. I’m gonna be me at any time of year! So Saturday I wore my super light grey-nearly white jeans to the Farmer’s Market. I enjoyed the day with some of my lovely sisters and we took the morning at the farmer’s market and ate at the Little Bread Co for brunch. We then tripped out to the Promenade in Rogers and shopped a little, where I bought amazing items at Forever 21, of course (Yes, I have the credit card).

We finished the day cheering on the Razorbacks at our last home game of the season! Great weekend. Here are some more pictures:

Full outfit deets:

Top & boots from Forever 21. I absolutely love open backs, especially pairing them with a fun bralette.

Bralette from a local boutique, Riffraff. They’ve got a BUNCH right now, so get some.

Jeans from Old Navy, best.

Choker from a local boutique, Bayou Gypsy. They have AMAZING stuff in right now, especially their chokers. Check out their Instagram @bayougypsy and their website

I absolutely love the colors I was wearing. My favorite colors are pink, white, and grey. Any way that I can mix those just makes my heart burst.

Anyway, I hope you all have a fabulous week! It’s Monday and it is a great day to START GREAT. I believe in you! If no one else says that to you this week, I do.

Day Off

Hi loves!

For me, it’s been Fall Break. I’ve gotten to spend it in Fayetteville, my new home. A bunch of college students went home so it’s been nice for it to not be too busy in town this weekend. I decided to go to Bentonville on my last day off just for fun because it’s in my backyard and it’s so adorable. My friends and I stumbled upon the sweetest boutique, Elysian. They have trendy, original pieces that have great prices! Allow me to share..

I bought a thick velvet choker for only $12. A jean frayed dress. A super comfy trench coat-type for only around $50. I also bought a thick buckle for only $18. This boutique is super special and y’all should check out their Instagram and order from them.

Anyway, here’s a couple of ways you can style the type of stuff I bought 🙂

I think these are a perfect way to transition into fall.

Heels are from Riff Raff. Pic creds to my awesome roomie Kristen.

You can wear it slouched on your arms, hanging over your shoulders, or just go without the coat and wear the jean dress by itself!

Thanks for tuning in. I hope y’all are enjoying the transition to fall. Fayetteville in the fall is always so lovely. Have a great week! You’re going to kill it.

September Beauty Deals

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

Happy Tuesday guys! Hope your week is off to a good start. Mine has struggled to get off the ground, but hey, it can only get better and it WILL!

So recently I have had some pretty awesome beauty deals – Clinique bonuses and my Ipsy bag! Check them out –

  1. September Ipsy bag + Ipsy offer:
    • In my bag I got 5 things but I gave 2 to my roommate. All of my roomies now do Ipsy every month and it is so fun!! Except that we get ours like a week apart and that’s tough to wait.
    • Too Faced lip injection. This stuff definitely does what it promises & it stings just a tad. Kinda freaky.
    • Trust Fund Beauty nail polish. This stuff is BOMB. It’s kind of a rose gold color. I have been wanting to try Trust Fund Beauty nail polish and I finally got too & now I’m in love with them!
    • Seraphine Botanicals guava butter. This is such a pretty color. It duos as a blush and a lip color! So soft. Kind of an orange.
    • SoSusan brushes. I saw the video on Ipsy’s Facebook about these brushes and immediately I was convinced to buy them! They are the perfect density and had the BEST deal!
  2. Ulta 21 days of beauty YEAH:
    • I didn’t participate a whole lot in this (though I should have) BUT I did get buy one get one free OPI nail polishes and they are the most gorgeous colors. Like a grey and pink color. They sound great when you clink them together (weird?)
  3. Clinique Bonus @ Bloomingdales:
    • I saw an ad on Facebook about Bloomingdale’s Clinique Bonus and I knew immediately that I NEEDED the bag! I got two things I needed from Clinique – the make up brush cleanser and liquid eye liner.
    • The brush cleaner is the BOMB. It cleans spot cleans so well, even after not cleaning for a week.
    • The liquid eye liner is my favorite eye liner I have ever had. Easy and perfect.
    • Bonus came with foaming sonic facial soap, a black stick eye liner, chubby lash mascara, and a lipstick. Oh, and the cutest bag ever. I am loving the products!
  4. Clinique Bonus @ the U of A bookstore:
    •  Yes, I said bookstore. There is a Clinique at the University of Arkansas’s bookstore and I work there! I have loved and used Clinique products for the longest time and now I have a job doing what I love! Helping people with make up and applying wonderful make up on people.
    • I bought 3 things: pretty easy brow palette, wear everywhere greys eye shadow palette, & turnaround body cream.
    • The brow palette is actually better than the Anastasia stuff I’d been using. My brows look WAY better, the highlight is beautiful, and it comes with a gel (fixative) that makes a beautiful finish on my brows.
    • THE EYE PALETTE is the best things ever!! The most beautiful colors, y’all. Please check it out. It does the whole job for my eyes. I don’t have to use any other eye shadow. Only that palette.
    • Turnaround is all about radiance. My skin needs radiance in some areas and I found this body cream and knew I needed it because I’ve been looking for something just like it.
    • Bonus came with Bare Pop lip pop, moisture surge, facial sonic soap, dramatically different moisturizing lotion, and an eye shadow duo/blush in like mink and sunset glow. Beautiful colors of both eye shadow and blush! Loved that Clinique chose these colors.

So I also got my Boxycharm but this is enough content, am I right? Might do another blog post about that. I LOVED this month’s Boxycharm. Favorite yet. Let me know if y’all want me to do another blog post about September’s Boxycharm! I might anyway 🙂

Thanks for tuning in! I hope this helps y’all in any way. Comment any questions about any products/promotions I mentioned! Have a fabulous week.
